About the Role

Responsibilities
- Engage with residents and guests to provide a memorable dining experience by taking food and beverage orders.
- Retrieve and serve food & beverages according to service standards, courteously and efficiently.
- Collect payments when necessary.
- Assist in the appearance and maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
- Anticipate resident’s needs and respond promptly.
- Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, table set-up, and dress code.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to ensure resident satisfaction with food and beverage programs.
- Set tables in accordance with Coterie standards.
- Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to state liquor regulations.
- Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- Review daily menu with residents.
- Maintain knowledge of Toast and/or POS system as well as manual systems.
- Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.
- Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linen from the dining room.
- Clean and reset tables immediately after residents and guests depart.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, ingredients, and quality standards.
- Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
- Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies/procedures.
- Process payments through the POS.
- Acquaint new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and hours.
- Clean and sanitize carpets, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment.
- Complete assigned side duties, including maintaining restaurant stock and supplies.
- Review reservations and accommodate requests for pre-assigned tables.
- Foster a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among staff.
- Attend Pre-Meal stand-up meetings.
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as a server.
- Fine Dining experience preferred.
- Food handling certificate where applicable.
- Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees.
- Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Minimum of 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages.
