About the Role

EFPR Group CPA's is seeking entry-level Staff Accountants to join its Auditing team in Buffalo. The staff accountant will be responsible for ensuring assigned engagements are completed in a timely fashion using the resources provided by the firm while maintaining the standards set forth by the firm’s quality control document. Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned engagements are completed timely and with minimal error
  • Interact with clients to facilitate workflow
  • Conduct research, maintain proficiency in professional standards and develop expertise within the firm
  • Learn and adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Help to develop and attract Interns and Staff by providing assistance with recruiting, mentoring and professional development programs
  • Prepare audit files and documents
  • Perform audit programs on assigned audit areas
  • Complete audit workpapers using client provided documents
  • Review and inspect completed financial statements

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel
  • CPA exam in process a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient computer skills in Creative Solutions, QuickBooks, Excel, and Word
  • Extreme confidentiality required
  • Ask appropriate questions as needed
