About the Role
We are seeking multiple Software Development Managers to lead engineering teams, responsible for transforming roadmaps into reliable, shipped software. You will manage a team of 5-6 developers, own delivery and quality, and guide the team's progress.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5 to 6 developers, owning their delivery, quality, and day-to-day priorities.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and deliver with a high bar for reliability.
- Coach and grow developers, assisting them in skill development, problem-solving, and career progression.
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to the team.
- Champion CI/CD, code quality, and observability practices within the team's systems.
- Provide senior leadership with visibility into the team's impact, progress, and risks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development management experience with a proven track record of leading teams that ship software.
- Strong technical foundation including system design, computer science fundamentals, and modern web technologies.
- Experience with technical design, problem-solving, and project management (Jira experience preferred).
- Genuine interest in hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Comfort partnering with Recruiting and other managers to hire and scale the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing tradeoffs with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
