About the Role
A highly experienced attorney who works independently and has major matter, team or client responsibilities. Frequently supervises professional teams working on legal matters, handling assignments of very substantial importance.
Responsibilities
- Performs as a specialist in one or more fields of law, providing technical and expert legal services to Constellation Business Units.
- Plans, conducts, and supervises large and highly complex legal assignments.
- Evaluates legal and business risks and advises clients accordingly.
- Represents Constellation in transactions, litigation, or other relevant matters.
- Provides legal counsel to all levels of management, including senior management.
- Provides lead direction and/or project leadership direction to less experienced attorneys and support staff.
- Prepares and revises budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel.
- Handles projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.
- At least 10-12 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments.
- Requires excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
- Requires ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law.

- 5+ years of experience handling retail energy commodity transactional work

Salary/Compensations
- $219,600 to $244,000
