About the Role

Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating all visual merchandising activities in Japan, including all boutiques, pop-up stores, pop-in events, and other special events.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare window display guidelines for boutique members.
  • Direct window display updates according to guidelines, including remote direction for boutiques in local areas of Japan.
  • Prepare and report window display photos to the MD Director and relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare installations with vendors.
  • Visit all boutiques to plan and change visual displays according to seasonal concepts localized from HQ.
  • Share Visual Merchandising guideline theory and concepts with boutique staff to maintain Delvaux's brand image.
  • Prepare and update visual concepts for boutiques, pop-up events, and other events as needed.
  • Prepare entire visual displays for boutique openings or renewals.
  • Modify boutique visual concepts and displays in a timely manner based on the latest sales contexts.
  • Localize VM guidelines in cooperation with the MD team.
  • Understand headquarters' VM direction and translate/implement updated guidelines for all Japanese boutiques.
  • Prepare seasonal VM guidelines at least twice a year.
  • Plan and deliver monthly VM guidelines to all boutiques to direct visual presence updates.
  • Participate physically in VM setups for events.
  • Manage budget (A&P).
  • Manage VM Tools, Fixtures, and Development.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of VMD experience in the retail industry.
  • Luxury brand experience is preferable.
  • Deep understanding of the retail business (client journey) and the fashion and department store industries.
