About the Role
This role supports Canada supply chain operations, focusing on Finished Goods and/or S&A inventory. Key priorities include leading the Supply Planning function, optimizing inventory levels, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with teams to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Supply Chain operations team in Canada, including Order processing, Logistics, and planning.
- Act as a member of the Canada Commercial leadership team, supporting commercial needs.
- Manage and optimize the Logistics budget.
- Support Supply Chain improvement projects to drive cost optimization and service improvements.
- Collaborate with the refurbishment team to ensure availability of B grade products.
- Ensure availability of Spares and accessories.
- Maintain sufficient inventory levels across the warehouse network to support promotional and baseline sales.
- Identify and communicate supply constraints to cross-functional partners, developing mitigation plans.
- Drive excess inventory reduction initiatives to meet inventory and working capital targets.
- Manage the monthly demand planning cycle for spare parts and accessories.
- Oversee the statistical forecast output and review adjusted demand based on data and market trends.
- Liaise between Dyson Supply Chain headquarters, local sales, marketing, and finance teams.
- Ensure demand for refurbishment operations is captured to support the production line.
- Oversee the monthly supply planning and S&Op review process.
- Drive customer service improvements by minimizing out-of-stocks.
- Resolve issues by developing and executing solutions.
- Publish KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
- Communicate clear priorities and required results, providing consistent support and feedback.
- Identify knowledge gaps and drive appropriate training solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in supply chain, operations management, logistics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a supply chain role within a consumer goods organization.
- Proven experience analyzing and resolving inventory-related issues.
- Experience with SAP S4 and SAP IBP.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of supply chain processes and systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Solutions oriented; helps minimize impact and deliver results.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
- Organized, with excellent follow-through capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to achieve results.
