About the Role
The Head of IT PMO will develop and lead the IT PMO, enabling the introduction and embedding of appropriate tools and processes to support the delivery of IT-specific project management approaches and controls, the development of effective capacity and resource management practices, and effective and appropriate project, programme and portfolio governance and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Introduce and embed appropriate tools and processes to support the delivery of IT-specific project management approaches and controls.
- Develop effective capacity and resource management practices covering project management, business analysis, and project support functions.
- Ensure effective and appropriate project, programme, and portfolio governance and reporting.
- Monitor project status, track deliverables and milestones, and ensure adherence to the governance framework.
- Establish a framework that builds in the need for specific IT processes including testing, architecture, and service design and transition processes within the overall project life cycle.
- Ensure alignment with technical design, architectural, information assurance, and cyber security expectations and requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in IT project management.
- Experience in developing and embedding PMO processes and tools.
- Experience in capacity and resource management.
- Experience in project, programme, and portfolio governance and reporting.
- Understanding of IT-specific processes such as testing, architecture, and service design and transition.
- Understanding of technical design, architectural, information assurance, and cyber security expectations.
