About the Role
We are seeking a co-op student for an 8-month term to support our Finance team in Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Examine and analyze financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and provide recommendations.
- Assist the Finance team with month-end/year-end deliverables.
- Upload documentation into the document control system.
- Supervise other auditors or accounting professionals (may be required).
Requirements
- Enrolled in a certificate or bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous co-op experience in administration and/or accounting.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule to meet deadlines.
