About the Role

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for working with the Production Manager for the on-stage, backstage, show settlement, and technical details of concerts and events at Live Nation-operated Venues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between tour and/or client production and the LN venue.
  • Advance and obtain presale technical information, including production needs, rider requirements, staging and capacity changes.
  • Interface with local contractors, vendors, tours, clients renting Live Nation venues, and venue production teams for all show requirements.
  • Manage day of show operations for concerts and private events from load in to load out, focusing on customer service, schedule adherence, sound restrictions, and cost containment.
  • Assist with show accounting and settlement with artists, including vendor payments.
  • Assist with tracking labor costs and maintaining budgets.
  • Assist with coordination and management of approved subcontractors and third-party vendors.
  • Assist in onboarding and training production staff.

Requirements

  • Combination of 3+ years of event-based production work with an emphasis in live music.
  • General knowledge of venue operations and touring preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with a "roll up the sleeves attitude" and "hands-on" style.
  • Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Flexible schedule including days, nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain even-tempered.
  • Ability to make clear, concise decisions, sometimes with limited information.
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, loud environment with extended periods of standing, lifting, and moving equipment.
  • Strong professional references.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Able to wear a radio earpiece during the scheduled shift.
