About the Role
As a Data Engineer within our dynamic pricing product team, you will play a crucial role in supplying data for production machine-learning models. You will ensure the efficient and accurate handling of data pipelines, facilitate the implementation of data models, and contribute to the overall enhancement of our pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support dynamic pricing models.
- Collaborate with data scientists to prepare data for model training, validation, and deployment.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure continuous and reliable data integration.
- Work with the software development team to integrate data engineering solutions into the broader product architecture.
- Ensure data governance and compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate these into technical specifications.
- Document data engineering processes and contribute to best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (from a four-year college or university) or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of related experience in data warehousing, data pipelining and other big data technologies.
- Strong knowledge and/or experience in building a DataLakeHouse is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), with a preference for Azure.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to switch gears quickly and cope with change.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data engineering solutions, with a strong focus on data models and data architecture, ideally in the travel and leisure industry.
- Experience with Azure Databricks (ML Flow, model serving).
- Experience with Synapse Analytics & Pipelines.
- Strong skills in Python/Spark SQL.
- Experience with PowerBI.
- Experience with real time data pipelines (kafka, event hubs, spark streaming) is a plus.

Salary/Compensations
- $135,000 - $150,000 annually
