About the Role

This role involves leading the business processes related to insurance contracts, including planning, maintenance, premium collection, and maturity/annuity payments. You will define strategies and set goals to achieve an ideal future state, focusing on maximizing customer experience and operational efficiency for sustainable organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and promote measures to maximize customer experience, improving convenience, satisfaction, and speed from a customer perspective.
  • Set and monitor customer satisfaction and experience metrics, executing improvements across departments.
  • Redesign all company customer-centric processes (Business Process Redesign) and thoroughly implement digitalization and automation.
  • Lead business design and implementation assuming AI utilization to achieve cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Promote career development and job satisfaction for members, fostering diversity and promoting health management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, including the Insurance Business Act and the Insurance Act, while making flexible and strategic decisions.
  • Promote business operations that emphasize corporate social responsibility and ethical considerations.
  • Quantitatively set and track investment amounts, effects, and periods to optimize resources.

Requirements

  • Experience leading projects in business process redesign, operational transformation, and efficiency improvement.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing initiatives that achieve both improved customer experience and operational efficiency, with an understanding of on-site operations.
  • Experience in applying AI and data utilization to practical business scenarios, linking them to business decision-making and strategy implementation.
  • Proven track record of leading collaboration with business units to demonstrate customer value improvement through AI utilization.
  • Possess customer focus, strategic thinking, logical reasoning, and quantitative/modeling abilities, with the capacity to clearly organize and communicate complex issues.
  • Ability to quantify the effects of measures and reforms through KPI and economic value tracking, prediction, and verification.
  • Leadership in process transformation and improvement: Ability to lead reforms that simultaneously enhance customer experience and operational efficiency, and to specifically plan and execute simplification, digitalization, and automation.
  • Understanding of KPIs and economic value: Ability to structurally and quantitatively predict and observe the impact of measures and reforms, and utilize them for improvement.
  • Support for career change: Possess the perspective to support member career growth by promoting transformation from conventional operations.
  • Understanding of business operations and the overall organizational structure: Ability to prioritize and promote process standardization.
  • Ability to ensure continuous operation through the development of business rules and procedures.
  • Direction and execution of transformation: Ability to lead team and organizational transformation.
  • Support for growth and health: Ability to support members' careers and health with a broad perspective, and to conduct objective evaluations and set goals.
  • Detailed understanding of insurance products and their terms and conditions.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency or equivalent high-level Japanese language skills.
  • Basic English communication skills are preferred for global collaboration opportunities.
