About the Role
The Financial Analyst will support departmental Financial Planning & Analysis, Budget Planning & Management, KPI management, and reporting activities within the Customer Care & Service – Planning team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial tools to analyze departmental financial performance, operating budgets, and financial/operational targets.
- Ensure robust forecasts by investigating key inputs from stakeholders.
- Monitor key departmental performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing variances.
- Execute period-end closing activities and month-end close checklists, including data gathering and forecasting model application for accruals and journal entries.
- Review expense classifications and generate reports for accurate and prompt entry.
- Prepare research, reporting, and analysis to support management in identifying trends/issues and executing response plans.
- Collaborate with LG Global Headquarters (Korea) for timely and accurate cost balancing.
- Support coordination and communication of performance towards goals and key strategy action items.
- Synthesize data into actionable initiatives by understanding key financial and operational drivers.
- Assist management and leadership in developing/refining performance and operational health metrics and dashboards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Korean / English Bilingual Language Skills are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
- 1-3 years of working experience, with experience in strategic decision-making processes being an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies and initiatives.
- Ability to perform basic research and analysis (performance, competitive, market).
- Strong attention to detail, proactive nature, positive attitude, creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work comfortably and effectively in a collaborative setting.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, which can be aggressive.
- Ability to remain composed and collected under pressure.
- Ability to identify process improvement points for streamlining and optimization.
- Quick learner with strong analytical skills to understand business drivers and financial trends.
- MS Office Proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must obtain any necessary work permits/visas or authorizations to legally work in Canada prior to employment.
