About the Role
SageOx is seeking its first Product Manager to report directly to the CPO. This foundational role will significantly impact customers, product trajectory, and the company's direction. The ideal candidate will be a builder who ships to production, possesses strong product craft, and can define the future of product management in the agentic era. This role requires deep customer empathy and an understanding of interpersonal dynamics, focusing on culture, rituals, and workflows as much as features.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs by analyzing usage data, customer conversations, and support threads.
- Translate raw signals into a clear picture of customer goals, gaps, and obstacles.
- Deeply consider value creation, communication, and capture within a new product category.
- Identify valuable customer experience moments and determine which are monetizable.
- Shape and package the product to align customer value with company sustainability.
- Steer experimentation by framing key questions and building processes for rapid validation.
- Build, test, and validate product ideas with real teams, discarding those that don't perform.
- Ship features and experiments, prioritizing synthesis and scope reduction over maximum output.
Requirements
- 3-10 years of experience shipping pioneering products.
- Evidence of shipped products, decisions made, and their outcomes.
- Deep, hands-on fluency with AI and curiosity about the AI ecosystem.
- Zero-to-one experience: creating something from nothing with an ambiguous problem and small team.
- Experiment-minded with the ability to frame hypotheses, baselines, and results.
- Deep customer empathy and a drive to understand and solve customer problems.
- Ability to think deeply, communicate clearly, and write well.
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to make things happen with limited resources, and prioritize amid ambiguity.
- Embody SageOx's values.
- Founder or early-employee experience in a fast-growing company is a plus.
- Connection to the builder scene in Seattle, San Francisco, and online is a plus.
