About the Role
NowDental of Suffolk is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our established, modern practice in Smithtown, NY. You'll work with an active patient base, experienced providers, advanced technology, and a collaborative clinical team, all while having the resources and support to continue growing as a hygienist.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care
- Perform cleanings, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and other hygiene services within your scope
- Assess periodontal health and communicate clinical findings with patients and providers
- Capture diagnostic-quality digital x-rays and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Educate patients on oral health, home care, periodontal needs, and recommended treatment
- Collaborate with dentists to identify periodontal, restorative, and comprehensive treatment needs
- Build trusted, long-term relationships that encourage patients to stay engaged in their oral health
Requirements
- Active New York Dental Hygienist license
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR certification
- Patient-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Collaborative, dependable, and committed to high-quality clinical care
- Local anesthesia certification is a plus
