About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the PBM team, including scheduling, meeting coordination, documentation, and tracking key initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support PBM leadership, executive, and vendor meetings.
  • Act as a liaison between the PBM team, senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional departments.
  • Support health plan pharmacy operations and coordinate with vendors to ensure alignment with benefit design and formulary strategy.
  • Assist with formulary implementation and maintenance activities, including updates and benefit configuration.
  • Help prepare and coordinate Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee materials and activities.
  • Review and update prior authorization guidelines, pharmacy FAQs, and member/provider communications.
  • Collaborate with PBM leadership to communicate pharmacy strategies and benefit changes across the organization.
  • Develop and coordinate training materials for various departments.
  • Assist with pharmacy network activities, including file maintenance, report analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Support direct pharmacy contracting initiatives and documentation.
  • Track pharmacy projects, action items, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Support vendor management activities, including deliverable coordination and issue tracking.
  • Maintain documentation for pharmacy programs, operations, vendors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support other pharmacy and health plan operational initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license in the applicable PTCB.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, managed care, PBM, pharmacy operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy benefits, claims processing, pharmacy operations, and prescription drug terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, exercise sound judgment, and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly resourceful and collaborative, capable of working independently and across departments.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Video Conference Software.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
