About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will leverage expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL (SSIS), data engineering, data modeling, and SSAS (OLAP Cube) to support our data-driven strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include data integration to build a robust data pipeline encompassing various data types. Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and data analysis, as well as experience with Data Visualization BI Tools like Tableau or Power BI, will be essential. You will also evaluate current processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reduce loss, and enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations using Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS).
Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, optimizing, and ensuring data integrity within the Microsoft SQL Server environment.
Create and optimize data models to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis.
Integrate data from internal systems, third-party data providers, and other platforms to build a comprehensive data pipeline.
Process and transform data using Python to automate tasks and data pipeline.
Ensure data quality and consistency through data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to drive business decisions.
Use Google Analytics 360 (GA360) to track and analyze website traffic, conversion rates, user behavior, and other key metrics.
Use Python to perform data consolidation, explorative analysis and generate insights.
Use Data Visualization BI Tools like Tableau or Power BI to develop visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports.
Design reports/dashboard/charts to show trends in customer purchase and evaluate changes in the online retail market.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions that support business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting mechanisms to track and measure them.
Document data integration processes, data models, and system configurations.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence, data engineering, and ecommerce to drive innovation and process improvements.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, preferably in the ecommerce industry.
2+ years’ experience with data engineering principles and data integration techniques across various systems and platforms.
1+ year experience with Python for automation, data processing, and data analysis tasks.
1+ year experience with Data Visualization BI Tools like Tableau or Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration, T-SQL, ETL (SSIS), and data modeling.
Understanding of eCommerce KPIs, sales funnels, and customer journey mapping.
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies to optimize website performance and user experience.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, especially regarding customer data in the eCommerce industry.
Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in eCommerce, digital marketing, and data analytics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
