About the Role

The Air Logistic Agent Security monitors the ingress, movement, and egress of persons requiring access to Company facilities, including controlled airport areas. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, complying with TSA regulations, visually monitoring activity, and responding to security breaches. The role may also involve screening cargo and maintaining Sensitive Security Information (SSI).

Responsibilities

Monitor the ingress, movement, and egress of persons requiring access to Company facilities and controlled airport areas.
Maintain a log of cargo entering and leaving the facility.
Comply with TSA regulations and set guidelines for escort and identification of personally owned vehicles within secured areas.
Visually monitor activity within controlled areas and challenge unauthorized individuals.
Act upon emergency situations pertaining to a breach of security as set by TSA/airport regulations.
Perform screening of cargo in accordance with TSA regulations.
Maintain Sensitive Security Information (SSI) per established procedures.
Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities.
Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan.
Comply with WFS site security plan for assigned warehouse.
Be professional, courteous, cautious, and efficient with all persons gaining access to controlled areas.
Demonstrate cognitive skills to comply with established guidelines on security.
Use cognitive skills to be decisive and use independent judgment.
Wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the Company.
Maintain personal appearance and grooming that will present a favorable corporate image.
Speak and be understood in giving directions and/or information to employees/customers/vendors.

Requirements

HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Security 1 year experience
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must undergo initial and recurrent training.
Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

Public contact experience
Strong oral communication skills
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to stand/walk for an eight-hour shift.
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, twist and turn.
Ability to see clearly in low light conditions.
Ability to remain in confined work station for prolonged periods of time.
