About the Role
Yardzen is hiring a Brand Marketing Manager to grow brand awareness, tell our stories, and create new ways for homeowners and brands to discover and engage with Yardzen. This role is central to the company's brand and mission, aiming to establish Yardzen as a lifestyle brand and cultivate a passionate community.
Responsibilities
- Define communications priorities and gain executive alignment on strategy and content approach.
- Design, launch, and own campaigns focused on building brand awareness and positive perception.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all owned mentions.
- Identify creative opportunities to bring the Yardzen brand to life across channels.
- Foster and facilitate community among past clients to support lifestyle brand status.
- Build project plans, coordinate stakeholders, and manage initiatives from idea to launch.
- Shape organic initiatives to introduce Yardzen and encourage engagement.
- Leverage social media expertise (Instagram, Pinterest) to tell compelling brand stories.
- Design programs that encourage clients to share their yard transformations.
- Own the Yardzen Ambassador Program for creators and champions.
- Discover and engage with complementary brands for potential partnerships.
- Manage day-to-day marketing execution of collaborations.
- Track and report on partnership activation performance.
- Partner in owning the Yardzen PR strategy and activation.
- Become expert on Yardzen's data and trends to package them as stories for publications.
- Form relationships with journalists, editors, creators, and media properties.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience across brand marketing, communications, content, PR, or integrated marketing.
- Adept at creating social media content strategy and understanding social platform dynamics.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience in a premiere PR firm working on successful D2C brands is a bonus.
- Versatile generalist excited to work across different marketing initiatives.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity.
- Ability to write a killer pitch and show examples of successful pitches.
- AI-confident but not reliant on AI for writing.
- Team player with goodness and grit; proactive and resourceful.
- Based in the Bay Area and available for occasional in-person opportunities.
