About the Role

The Portfolio Officer assists Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Center Managers in acquiring new relationships and retaining existing ones, including loans, deposit accounts, and other bank services. This role involves analyzing customer financial needs, participating in negotiations, presenting credit and product requests internally, and supporting the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides sales and operational support to sales teams.
  • Participates in Center functions to achieve earnings and growth objectives.
  • Actively participates in community and civic activities.
  • Contributes to meeting or exceeding Center budgetary goals, including deposit, loan, and net income targets.
  • Ensures proper implementation and adherence to bank operating and lending policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all CBB policies and procedures for a satisfactory audit.
  • Works to meet the Bank's CRA policies and objectives for the assigned service area.
  • Manages personal sales efforts to meet or exceed Center goals.
  • Promotes The Citizens Experience to all customers.
  • Complies with and stays updated on all applicable policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret and draw bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
