About the Role
Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and/or trade labor. Ensures safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to project budget. Supervises Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing.
- Oversee work among assigned trades to promote coordinated project operations and resolve local area problems.
- Manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
- Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and/or Interns, including performance appraisals.
- Create schedules, determine work sequencing, and develop recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
- Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues and investigate/resolve them.
- Manage the billing process, including Work In Place (WIP), monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
- Manage work to ensure installation compliance with approved contract documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience, training, and/or experience.
- Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
- Knowledge of general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S applications.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and ladders, and negotiating construction areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
