About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Transaction Manager to join a JLL team responsible for executing a large volume and variety of real estate transactions that create enterprise value for one of JLL’s largest global technology clients. The position requires a highly energetic leader with excellent communication, portfolio management, and client relationship management skills. You will deliver Transaction Management solutions to a client known for its scale and fast-moving culture, operating with the same energy, transparency, and bias for action.
Responsibilities
- Monitor portfolio critical dates and identify optimization opportunities for critical lease events.
- Manage and negotiate high-value, large-scale, and complex lease transactions.
- Directly manage broker vendor partners to draft and negotiate various agreements (RFPs, LOIs, Leases, Subleases, PSAs, License Agreements).
- Ensure all due diligence and approval requirements are completed for each transaction.
- Draft business case documentation and develop financial analysis for investments.
- Work with legal counsel in preparing, negotiating, and executing transaction documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual business reports and ad-hoc reports.
- Coach and develop direct reports, including Transaction Managers.
- Supervise the execution of transactions by the team, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Hold accountability for the quality of the team’s transaction output, due diligence, and reporting.
- Liaise with peers and delivery partners to share best practices and ensure integration and data integrity.
- Leverage JLL research team for insights, analytics, and innovative ideas.
- Simplify best practices and continuously improve processes, tools, and templates.
- Mitigate anticipated risks and take advantage of opportunities.
- Proactively identify process inefficiencies and implement improvement plans.
- Deliver effective transaction management services to meet contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the client’s business.
- Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators and service levels.
- Introduce innovative JLL products and services to the client.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
- 10-15 years’ experience managing complex, high-value transactions and portfolios.
- Demonstrated skills in contract review, lease/purchase and sale negotiations.
- Solid understanding of financial and accounting impacts.
- Strong negotiating, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding client service skills.
- A track record of championing speed, flexibility, and frugality.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong writing skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs/Sheets/Slides, etc.).
- Proven ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, managing cross-functional teams through influence.
- Strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
- Anticipates risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactics.
- Effective resource management and project management skills.
- Ownership mentality willing to take on whatever is needed to achieve objectives.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
