About the Role

Hultquist Place is seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Full-Time Activities Coordinator to plan and facilitate diverse cultural, spiritual, physical, social, civic, and intellectual activities for residents, fostering connection and engagement.

Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate engaging individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
Collaborate with the Activities Director and other departments to develop shared programming.
Create and distribute the monthly activity calendar.
Coordinate campus-wide celebrations, outings, special events, and entertainment.
Encourage resident participation and reduce isolation through social connection opportunities.
Complete initial activity assessments and contribute to individualized activity plans.
Maintain accurate attendance records and document resident participation.
Communicate upcoming activities to residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community members.
Assist with purchasing activity materials and equipment within budget.
Coordinate the use of rooms, supplies, equipment, transportation, and other resources.
Assist with orienting and supporting volunteers.
Transport residents to activities and outings after completing required training.
Help maintain organized, clean, and welcoming activity spaces.
Attend required in-services and pursue learning opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.
Willingness and ability to complete training to operate the company van.
Experience working with older adults or planning recreational, social, educational, or community programs is preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build positive relationships.
Creativity, flexibility, initiative, and adaptability.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
