About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will build foundational pieces for all DoorDash, Wolt and Deliveroo Web applications, including monorepos, build & CI systems and agent-first development tooling. You will work closely with engineers and other internal stakeholders to deliver large and impactful initiatives. Additionally, you will be a culture carrier for our Web engineers through mentorship, education, and engagement of your peers. You will report into the Engineering Manager of our Web Developer Experience team in our Developer Platform organization.
Responsibilities
- Shape the future of Web Development by impacting daily workflows of web engineers.
- Architect and implement foundational libraries, build systems, and development tools.
- Solve complex, high-impact technical challenges in web engineering.
- Empower product teams to build, test, and release new features faster and more reliably.
- Guide and influence the web engineering community through expertise sharing and promoting best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leaders to drive critical initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
- Comfortable shipping important changes in large, complex codebases and monorepos without full context.
- Enjoy helping developers ship web applications quickly and securely, using user feedback and data to focus on high impact work.
- Passionate about using emerging AI tools and helping others adopt them to work more effectively.
- Organized and excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) in the full software development lifecycle.
