About the Role
The Payments & Commercial Abuse Analyst investigates and mitigates fraud, abuse, and monetization risks within Adobe's commerce ecosystem. This role uses data-driven investigations and cross-functional partnerships to identify threats, develop mitigations, and provide intelligence to protect revenue and customer trust.
Responsibilities
- Investigate payment fraud, monetization abuse, account misuse, and commercial abuse schemes.
- Analyze transactions, customer behaviors, and associated signals to identify suspicious patterns and assess risk.
- Evaluate escalations and emerging threat patterns to develop risk assessments and response recommendations.
- Utilize SQL and analytical tools to identify trends, uncover fraud patterns, and generate actionable intelligence.
- Translate investigative findings into scalable detection strategies and operational controls.
- Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and AI teams to define abuse indicators and enhance detection capabilities.
- Produce intelligence assessments and trend analyses on emerging abuse patterns and monetization risks.
- Balance fraud prevention objectives with customer experience when evaluating controls and policies.
- Provide recommendations to strengthen payment risk controls and fraud mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address emerging threats and improve platform resilience.
Requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Experience using SQL/SPL and data analysis techniques.
- A naturally inquisitive and investigative mindset.
- Strong understanding of payment and commerce risk concepts.
- Experience identifying risk signals and translating findings into scalable strategies.

- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to delivering accurate outcomes.

- U.S. pay range: $81,500 - $189,800 annually
- California pay range: $131,100 - $189,800
- New York pay range: $131,100 - $189,800
