About the Role
The Material Handler III performs advanced warehouse operations utilizing industrial powered equipment to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the Distribution Center. This position is expected to demonstrate expert equipment operation and strong operational judgment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down forklifts.
- Safely operate clamp forklifts.
- Load and unload trailers.
- Stage merchandise and recyclable materials using powered industrial trucks.
- Support inventory movement throughout warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Safely operate electric walking and riding pallet jacks.
- Transport palletized merchandise and recyclable materials throughout the Distribution Center.
- Support efficient workflow between warehouse, dock, and outlet operations.
- Cross-train in multiple operational functions to maximize workforce flexibility.
- Successful completion of Material Handler III training requirements.
- Certification to operate sit-down forklifts.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Demonstrated safe work performance and satisfactory attendance.
- Ability to obtain internal equipment certifications within required timeframes.
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to meet production and quality expectations.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed and walk warehouse floors and outdoor lots.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, or crouching in operational areas.
- Exposure to dust, heat/cold and outdoor work areas.
- Must be able to safely navigate GCT outlet and post-retail facilities.
