About the Role
Serve as the primary contact for customers, promoting company capabilities and managing product development from design to efficient, cost-effective manufacturing. Ensure accurate cost estimates, tooling compliance, and timely order processing while maintaining comprehensive customer records.
Responsibilities
- Serve as key point of contact between PMM and customers to sell and promote company capabilities
- Develop, review, and improve designs for customer products
- Facilitate efficient manufacturing at the lowest possible cost while satisfying customer functional requirements
- Produce reliable estimates of costs to manufacture products and ensure tooling meets all requirements
- Receive and process repeat orders from customers and verify that terms are agreeable with quotes
- Receive inquiries from current/potential customers and verify all documents are complete
- Expedite orders and follow up on behalf of the customer, apprising the customer of order status
- Assure complete and accurate filing of customer history folders, pricing data, and related records/reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Plastics)
- 5+ years' experience with plastic injection molding (tooling preferred)
- Proficient use of SolidWorks and IQMS software
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
