About the Role

Provide management and guidance to multi-functional project teams, manage and enhance customer relationships, and serve as the single point of contact for all design-related activities. This role requires full accountability for project budgets and schedules, with the technical capability to develop, manage, and deliver highly complex technology projects or multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project's technological requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and translated for execution.
  • Recognize project's Key Success Indicators and manage work within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
  • Conduct project risk reviews and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication among all involved parties and manage stakeholders, including escalating issues to senior management.
  • Forecast project budget and HR needs for current and future site requirements.
  • Maintain overall accountability for project success, including cost, schedule, quality, and scope management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and manage both internal and external customer relationships.
  • Form and lead strong multi-functional teams to achieve company and customer objectives.
  • Understand and exceed customer needs and expectations.
  • Assist with business and/or contract negotiations.
  • Advise Senior and Regional PM on the financial health of all managed programs.
  • Support the identification and preparation of new business proposals.
  • Understand the strategic direction of the division and define/develop/implement strategies that contribute to technology services strategic directions.
  • Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to technology Services.
  • Provide regular updates to the Business Unit on strategy execution.
  • Ensure all products and services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct formal design reviews with customers to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
  • Recruit, interview, and assist in the hiring process of other Project Managers.
  • Assist in monitoring team member turnover, identifying key factors for improvement, and implementing changes.
  • Assist in identifying individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Create and/or validate training curriculum in the area of responsibility for lower-level project managers.
  • Coach and mentor lower-level project management staff to deliver excellence.
  • Assist in managing succession plans for the project management function.
  • Solicit ongoing feedback from Business Unit, peers, and team members on contributions.
  • Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and organizational goal achievement.
  • Coordinate activities of large teams and maintain focus during crises.
  • Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently within the area of responsibility.
  • Provide a weekly communication forum for idea and information exchange for projects, including status, issue resolution, problems, and changes.
  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly using an appropriate business style with presentation or database software.
  • Effectively present information to management and/or customer personnel.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or internal personnel.
  • Establish and maintain communication with customer personnel and senior management or project teams.
  • Identify creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Utilize tools to monitor departmental costs and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
  • Provide feedback to peers on costs and cost trends.
  • Prepare timely forecasts for projects.
  • Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
  • Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
  • Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages in an integrated system such as SAP.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and understand visual aid.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
