About the Role
Join Kettle as a Senior Visual Designer, creating world-class digital experiences for a major Bay Area creative tech client. You will partner with cross-functional teams, own design from exploration to execution, and mentor junior designers. This role is ideal for those passionate about conceptual digital design and detailed execution.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end digital website projects.
- Partner with Visual Designers, Art Directors, Copy, UX, Production, and clients.
- Create thoughtful, beautifully crafted digital designs.
- Own design work from exploration through final execution.
- Guide and support less experienced designers.
- Create differentiating, modern, on-brand design solutions.
- Translate creative concepts, product stories, and copy into clear, compelling digital experiences.
- Work confidently within an established design system.
- Communicate and present design solutions clearly.
- Stay on top of best design practices and technologies.
- Partner closely with Art Directors and Copywriters.
- Maintain quality and tone across all deliverables.
- Accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
- Mentor less experienced designers.
- Be a strong team member and a proactive individual contributor.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of digital design experience.
- Experience working on websites and digital experiences in an agency and/or in-house environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating modern, thoughtful visual design across digital experiences, with a high level of craft and attention to detail.
- Mastery in Figma and Sketch.
- Strong understanding of working within design systems and component libraries.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Keynote.
- Proactive communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with large and variable teams simultaneously.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Experience partnering closely with Art Direction, UX, Copy, Motion, Production, and client teams.
- An optimistic and collaborative attitude.
- Genuinely cares about doing great work and working with great people.
