About the Role
SAIC is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their Solutions and Technology group, focusing on implementing streaming data platforms and developing innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless implementation of a streaming data platform and create innovative solutions.
- Specify, construct, test, and implement specialized machine learning and/or mission-focused systems based on client requirements.
- Engage in deployment and execution planning with clients.
- Directly support software deployment on Kubernetes.
- Produce client documentation for custom applications.
- Provide tutorials and technical information for product documentation.
- Perform full stack development using Python, Java, or JavaScript for front-end and back-end applications (node.js, D3.js, and React).
- Conduct Java / Python development.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems / Information Technology / Mathematics or related field with nine (9) years of experience, or Master's degree with seven (7) years of experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must possess a secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must have IAT Level 1 (CompTIA Security + and CCNA) certification (obtainable within 30 days of hire).
- Must have experience with at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript or Python.
- Must have experience with at least one of the following: node.js, D3.js, or React.
- Must have experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Must have experience with SQL/Database.
- Must have experience with Linux and Shell scripting.
- Must have Big data experience using Postgres on Mongo.
- Must have SQL / Database integration experience.
- Must be familiar with Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Must have experience building data-driven applications with an understanding of ETL and data pipelines.
- Must have experience working with Cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
- Must have comprehension of object-oriented design patterns.
