About the Role

Our London office is looking for a Project Manager to join our Community Development team. As a Project Manager, you will perform a variety of tasks including project management, business development and growing our team of engineers, technicians and other specialists. The Project Manager is expected to win and/or be assigned projects that have complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge and industry experience. This ideal candidate will be capable of leading all aspects of a project from the business development (pursuit stage) through conceptual design, detailed design, agency approvals and implementation. As Project Manager you will be responsible for to ensure appropriate project team structure, resource efficiency and financial accountability.

Responsibilities

Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality of deliverables for multiple large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects from due diligence to post-construction.
Lead and develop a team of engineers and technologists, providing mentorship.
Manage the design and delivery of civil engineering deliverables for land development projects, overseeing servicing, grading, drainage design, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Lead and mentor through the development of designs using sketches, markups, and other visual formats for junior engineers/designers.
Lead project meetings with internal team members, external consultants, clients, contractors, agencies, subcontractors, and vendors.
Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications and construction documents.
Participate in constructability reviews.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own and peers' projects.
Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the civil group.
Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for all project sizes.
Participate in and lead marketing efforts, business development, and strategic pursuits, including lead development, proposal preparation, presentations, relationship management, and client surveys.
Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, competitor/teaming partners, and potential recruits.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Requirements

Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of relevant land development guidelines and industry standards in/around the London Region.
Comprehensive knowledge of land development engineering, including subdivision and site plan approval processes, civil servicing, grading design, drainage design, and construction administration.
Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
Check the work of others for accuracy and completeness.
Manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Participate and collaborate in a project team setting.
