About the Role
The Bartender will prepare the bar for opening, prepare beverages and serve food in a timely manner, and in accordance with the hotel’s policies/procedures and the brands standard to achieve and maintain guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety and security while embracing and emulation of the values of the company culture and guiding principles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set-up bar items, all liquors, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
- Greet and acknowledge guests, initiating and engaging in conversation.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, notifying management of incidents.
- Check identification for guests with questionable age for alcoholic beverage service.
- Restock drink items and other supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and the bar area.
- Properly store unused drink, food items, and supplies according to health codes.
- Follow operational procedures to ensure timely replenishment of items below par levels.
- Receive supplies, date, and rotate stock.
- Acquire knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to guest questions.
- Inform manager of any guest dissatisfaction.
Requirements
- Assist in other areas of the hotel when needed.
- Keep supervisor informed of significant problems or unusual matters.
- Perform duties efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues.

- Possess strong attention to detail.
- Communicate verbally or in writing with guests and team members.

- Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays.
