About the Role

The Neuron Explorer team makes AWS Trainium performance visible by developing tools for profiling, debugging, and optimizing machine learning workloads on Trainium and Inferentia accelerators. This role involves designing, building, and operating the full stack of Neuron Explorer, from data collection and analysis to visualizations and developer workflows, with a focus on enhancing AI-powered recommendation and analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build performance data collection pipelines and analysis engines that transform raw hardware execution data into actionable insights.
  • Develop interactive visualizations and developer workflows to make complex profiling data understandable.
  • Own features end to end across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with compiler, runtime, and chip architecture teams to surface performance information for AI workload optimization.
  • Evaluate and integrate generative AI capabilities into Neuron Explorer's recommendation engine to identify optimization opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
