About the Role
We are seeking a smart, resourceful, and analytically strong individual to join our Financial Services team as Strategy & Operations Manager (Financial Services). This role offers the opportunity to help build and scale a growing business within Clutch, collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Sales, and external lending partners. We are looking for a high-agency generalist capable of tackling diverse problems, bringing structure to ambiguity, and independently executing ideas from analysis to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives across Financial Services, from opportunity identification through analysis, execution, and measurement.
- Identify and execute opportunities to grow our financing and insurance business and expand customer reach.
- Independently build business cases, analyses, reports, and recommendations to drive decision-making.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Sales to enhance our product offering and customer journey.
- Translate business problems into actionable solutions, including data analysis, mockup creation, or defining new products/processes.
- Move quickly from problem identification to solution testing and implementation.
- Analyze customer, funnel, and financial performance to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
- Apply a Financial Services perspective to product and business decisions across Clutch.
- Build and manage relationships with major Canadian lenders and other external partners.
- Take initiative to learn new tools and technologies with minimal supervision.
- Utilize AI and modern tools for problem analysis, faster building, and operational improvements.
- Thrive in an environment where existing playbooks for problems are often absent.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy & operations, product, fintech, financial services, or a high-performing startup environment.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to solve complex business problems.
- Proven ability to independently own projects from problem definition through execution.
- Strong builder mentality; comfortable creating analysis, processes, mockups, or solutions independently.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to move quickly across different types of problems.
- Strong cross-functional skills, particularly with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High-agency, curious, and resourceful; takes ownership without being directed.
