About the Role

Manages the day-to-day operations of an outpatient medical clinic, overseeing clinic supervisors and ancillary staff while ensuring compliance and promoting the organization's mission and philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the business, technical, and nursing support activities of an outpatient medical clinic.
  • Assists with implementation of clinic-specific customer service, human resource, and financial goals.
  • Assists with preparation of annual clinic budgets and monitors expenses.
  • Assists with development and/or implementation of clinic-specific policies and procedures.
  • Monitors staffing mix and resource allocation to meet service demand.
  • Manages and resolves clinic safety and risk management issues.
  • Ensures compliance with ARC standards and applicable laws.
  • Works with administration and clinic medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
  • Addresses patient care or service complaints.
  • Supervises clinic supervisors and/or business office or clinical staff, including performance evaluations and staff development.
  • Interacts with and supports staff and physicians daily.
  • Provides support to AHC holiday staffing by working a shift and assisting with scheduling.
  • Promotes long-term financial stability and sustainable growth.
  • Adheres to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintains regular and dependable attendance.
  • Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company.
  • Works holiday shift(s) as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May be responsible for ensuring staff follow work queue workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field and two (2) or more years of experience in a clinic or similar healthcare setting, OR High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) or more years of experience in a clinic or similar healthcare setting.
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Must attend and complete all work queue training and successfully pass all tests if working in the charge review work queue.

Skills

  • Financial management, including understanding of insurance plans related to physician practice.
  • Familiarity with healthcare delivery compliance laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of various medical insurance plans and billing practices.
  • Knowledge of procedural and diagnostic coding.
  • Knowledge of human resource fundamentals and related laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA).
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data/reports.
  • Ability to engage others, listen, and adapt responses.
  • Ability to align actions with team members towards common goals.
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including Windows familiarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to perform job duties professionally.
  • Ability to understand, recall, and communicate factual information.
  • Ability to understand, recall, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
