About the Role
The Lead Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing scientific and objective medical information to healthcare providers and researchers in therapeutic areas of interest to Molecular Imaging within Bayer Radiology. The MSL serves as medical and scientific support in the field for healthcare providers ensuring safe and effective use of Bayer products.
Responsibilities
- Complete core training curriculum and basic MSL Certification
- Participate in therapeutic area updates and training initiatives
- Attend and review medical conferences
- Read current publications
- Maintain professional licensure with CEU documentation
- Complete recertification and advanced certification
- Present to external audiences
- Provide timely, accurate, specific, and balanced responses to professional information requests
- Adhere to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information
- Adhere to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contacts
- Prepare and present data to internal audiences
- Provide input for developing materials for internal and external use
- Identify and validate Thought Leaders (TL)
- Engage in routine contacts with TLs
- Support research site identification and investigator-initiated research (IIR)
- Provide speaker training and evaluation
- Coordinate advisory boards, workshops, and presentations
- Coordinate National/International TL engagement with senior management
- Identify customer Medical/Clinical needs & challenges
- Differentiate features and value of Bayer products/solutions/services
- Assist customers on basic protocol adaptation and inquiries
- Ensure alignment and collaboration between internal Bayer stakeholders
- Drive high customer satisfaction and experience
- Report relevant competitive activity
- Assist in planning and execution of medical field force initiatives
- Identify account / hospital influence level for commercial segmentation
- Drive scientific discussions on patient needs and data gaps
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree is required
- At least 2 years’ industry experience is required
- Strong presentation, verbal, and communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of FDA, OIG requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle
