About the Role
Megazone Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer Co-op who is passionate about software development, cloud architecture, and solving complex technical problems. As a Co-op, you will be a key contributor to internal and client-facing teams, designing full-stack solutions and collaborating with senior experts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers and the U.S. tech team to translate business requirements into software features and services.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
- Participate in technical discussions and client meetings, communicating progress on tickets, improvements, and deliverables.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Help implement monitoring solutions and DevOps best practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Actively participate in design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and team output.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and strong programming/scripting fundamentals.
- Exposure to or deep interest in major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data ecosystems.
- Foundational knowledge of DevOps practices, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences.
- Desire to engage in a professional services/consulting environment.
- Strategic "builder" mindset, sense of ownership, and agility to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous internship or project experience in a Professional Services or consulting environment (Nice-to-Have).
- Experience with GenAI, MLOps, or specialized data tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) (Nice-to-Have).
- Relevant AWS or cloud-provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) (Nice-to-Have).
- Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.
