About the Role
Megazone Cloud is seeking a Data Engineer Co-op who is a builder at heart, eager to apply technical skills to real-world customer problems. This role is for curious, driven students comfortable asking "what if?" to solve complex challenges, passionate about data engineering and ready to transition from classroom theory to professional execution in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Work as a real member of the technical team, helping build and maintain data pipelines.
- Collaborate with senior engineers under a "force multiplier" leadership philosophy.
- Write and optimize Python and SQL code to automate processes and manage data workflows.
- Participate in team meetings and technical discovery, bringing a fresh perspective to design discussions.
- Gain hands-on exposure to AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Work alongside data science and infrastructure teams to see how high-growth startups scale.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Academic or project-based experience with Python and SQL.
- A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database principles.
- A strategic "builder" mentality and a genuine thirst for technical knowledge.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively within a team.
- Must be currently eligible to work in the US.
