About the Role
We are looking for a versatile Software Developer who is a self-starter and quick learner, capable of adapting to multiple technologies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-performance team and possess excellent communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the sustainment of existing systems through support and maintenance, as well as build new applications by modernizing and integrating legacy systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and test software to specifications.
- Support production, including 24x7 on-call support.
- Provide consultation with the Systems Architect and Business Systems Analyst.
- Participate in project planning.
- Deliver code reviews and provide feedback relative to best practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a software developer role and/or equivalent education in computer science.
- IT experience and the ability to understand and effectively work with legacy technologies and contribute as legacy applications evolve and are migrated to new platforms.
- IT experience in analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation and 24/7 production support would be an asset.
- Initiative with the ability to easily adapt to change.
- Knowledge of software design, methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Reliability Status Security Clearance required as a condition of employment.
