About the Role

Hotel Equities is seeking a Sales Manager for the Hotel Fusion in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on meeting and exceeding revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing existing hotel accounts through a profitable and win-win selling approach, ensuring guests feel confident in their choice to stay with us.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals.
  • Target high revenue potential sales calls for a successful direct sales program.
  • Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those offering revenue growth.
  • Develop new business by soliciting competitor's accounts through networking and research.
  • Acquire referrals from existing accounts and follow up on all leads within 48 hours.
  • Plan and implement an ongoing Targeted Account Development "hit list" to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts and contracts.
  • Prospect for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity, and innovation.
  • Utilize yield management techniques by profitably negotiating room rates and function space commitments.
  • Maintain a well-documented, accurate, and organized file management system for client and employer service.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and professional interaction.
  • Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system to meet client needs.
  • Promptly follow up on all customer needs and inquiries efficiently.
  • Conduct research, surveys, and studies to capitalize on hotel strengths and competitor weaknesses.
  • Dedicate a minimum of 90% of work time to revenue-producing direct sales efforts.
  • Control expenses while traveling on the property's behalf.
  • Represent the hotel and Company with integrity and professionalism.
  • Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude with all hotel departments.
  • Maintain open communication with all co-workers for optimal hotel performance.
  • Display a neat, clean, and business-like appearance at all times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/secondary qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
  • Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, tour property, attend functions, climb stairs, use door keys, and operate basic office equipment.
  • Vision to read fine print and computer screens, see colors, and observe rooms in poorly lit conditions.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Ability to work on more than one task at a time.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and customer relationships.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and plan activities in advance.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to respond to coaching, feedback, and training.
  • Strong and effective sales skills.
  • Passionate about people and service.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used often.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
