About the Role
This Research Technician position at the Stern Laboratory, Boyce Thompson Institute, involves two projects: RNA quality control in chloroplasts and modifying C4 photosynthetic pathways. Training will be provided for areas where applicants may lack experience.
Responsibilities
- Participate in projects focused on RNA quality control in the chloroplast.
- Explore and modify C4 photosynthetic pathways.
- Conduct photosynthetic measurements in living plants.
- Perform genetic crosses.
- Execute routine molecular biology techniques.
- Conduct protein biochemistry, including expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
- Learn a variety of skills related to chloroplast biology.
- Collaborate with other groups with complementary expertise.
