About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Software Engineer to join our Billing & Monetization Team. You will build the systems that power how our agentic AI products are metered, priced, and billed, turning AI usage into reliable, transparent revenue for a fast-growing, category-defining company.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate credit, metering, and billing systems for AI products.
- Write high-quality, well-tested Python code focusing on financial correctness, accuracy, and auditability.
- Build and scale services for real-time metering, credit enforcement, and integration with financial systems.
- Model and evolve data in Postgres and MongoDB for billing-critical workloads.
- Ship and run services across Azure and GCP environments, focusing on observability, security, and cost.
- Utilize AI-assisted coding tools and agentic coding harnesses to enhance speed and quality.
- Work with agentic tools and models to ensure correct metering and attribution for billing.
- Partner with Product, Finance, and Engineering teams for technical implementation of pricing and packaging.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, from design through deployment and iteration.
- Contribute to a culture of experimentation, learning, documentation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a software engineer building scalable, reliable, and high-quality software systems in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid fundamentals in software architecture, distributed systems, and API design.
- Experience with relational and document databases, ideally Postgres and MongoDB, including data modeling and query performance.
- Experience building and operating services on cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure and/or GCP.
- A seasoned user of AI development tools, with hands-on fluency in AI-assisted coding and agentic coding harnesses.
- A focus on correctness, reliability, observability, and maintainability, especially where accuracy matters.
- Strong product sense; ability to reason about business and pricing needs and make good tradeoffs.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
- A track record of taking ownership and shipping.
