About the Role
CAMH is seeking an Information Specialist to join the 9-8-8 Team, supporting the national three-digit number for suicide prevention in Canada. This role provides administrative, information management, and data reporting services to ensure the effective operation and information flow within the 9-8-8 Service & Operations portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and system support and reporting for the efficient and effective operations of the 9-8-8 Service & Operations portfolio.
- Maintain and support the continuous improvement of trackers and databases, including data entry, data validation, and report generation.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance the 9-8-8 service.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and presentations, providing logistical and operational support.
- Support and participate in risk management, safety, and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate effectively across teams within 9-8-8 and CAMH departments.
- Represent 9-8-8 as a first point of contact for inquiries about the service.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Science or health related field.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Proficiency with word processing, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new computer software systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with minimal supervision.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable, and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to work with individuals of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds.
