About the Role

As a Project Manager in our North American Service Delivery group, you will be responsible for ensuring the in-scope, on-time, and on-budget delivery of a suite of identification system solutions for government customers in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Determine and allocate necessary project resources (time, money, personnel).
  • Develop detailed project timelines with milestones and deadlines.
  • Create the original project budget for labor and expense categories.
  • Forecast project costs for labor and expenses.
  • Monitor project financial performance against the approved budget.
  • Prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Create a baseline project schedule aligned with the initial budget.
  • Track and update the schedule with actual and planned start/end dates.
  • Report schedule progress based on milestones relative to the baseline.
  • Provide regular stakeholder updates via meetings, emails, and reports.
  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the project plan.
  • Address stakeholder conflicts and issues.
  • Identify potential project risks.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Continuously monitor risks and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Delegate tasks to team members based on skills and expertise.
  • Monitor team member performance.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members.
  • Collect data on project performance (e.g., task completion, quality metrics).
  • Analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed project progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Perform various other duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Fluent in English (speak, read, write).
  • Ability to travel approximately 4-12 weeks per year if located outside of the Capital District (Albany).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or similar) or Business or an equivalent combination of relevant education and additional years of work experience.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of IT systems (infrastructure/applications and supporting technologies, methodologies, etc.).
  • Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, Project, Jira.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex, large scale IT projects.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability.
  • 15+ years of experience managing complex, large scale IT projects (Preferred).
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Certified Scrum Master, or ITIL certification(s) (Preferred).
  • Experience managing IT projects in both the private and public sectors (Preferred).
  • Business acumen (Preferred).
