About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing recruiting plans, including sourcing, screening, onboarding, and recommending staff placements. This role sources for internal and external positions and works with outside contractors as needed.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
- Screen resumes, interview candidates, administer assessments, and conduct reference/background checks.
- Make recommendations for hire and deliver employment offers for exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Serve as a recruiting expert for assigned affiliates.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local colleges and organizations to build recruitment networks.
- Engage with professional networks to create recruitment channels.
- Utilize traditional and nontraditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Stay updated on recruitment trends and develop new recruitment resources.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop advertising for high visibility with potential candidates.
- Manage the internal transfer process, including screening and offer letters.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback on the recruiting process.
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships to achieve staffing goals.
- Communicate employment information, including benefits and compensation, during offer delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action.
- Manage candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain application/resume files.
- Prepare and deliver reports on hiring metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and motivate others.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements.
- Reliable transportation.
- Adhere to all CDS Life Transitions, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Agency Mission, Vision, Shared Values, and Customer Service Standards.
- Attend mandatory education and training modules as scheduled.
- Act as a professional representative of CDS Life Transitions, Inc.
