- Own product analytics instrumentation, including auditing existing tracking and collaborating with engineers to implement necessary changes.
- Build and maintain dbt models to support product, growth, and operational reporting.
- Design and maintain dashboards and self-serve tools for product managers and leadership.
- Drive understanding of engagement, retention, and activation metrics, surfacing insights to inform product decisions.
- Identify and track leading indicators of product-market fit.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for product and user data within the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with analytics engineers managing clinical and research data on shared infrastructure and data standards.
- Proactively identify and address data quality issues within the product and growth domain.
- Establish data trustworthiness standards for product and growth data.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering or a closely related data role.
- Experience at a consumer-facing company, understanding consumer product usage and growth metrics.
- Startup experience, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and operate without a defined playbook.
- Strong SQL and dbt skills, with experience building clean, modular, and well-documented models.
- Hands-on experience with Mixpanel, including defining and implementing event tracking with engineers.
- Proven track record of directly collaborating with product managers and designers to shape product development.
- Strong intuition for engagement and retention, with experience in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and retention modeling.
- Experience with BigQuery, dbt, Stitch, and Hex, or similar technologies.
- Clear communication skills to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
