About the Role
Lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end detailed solutions with overall accountability for technical design and delivery. You'll be exposed to stretch assignments as you take on large-scale, complex, and/or enterprise-wide projects.
Responsibilities
- Application design and development activities.
- Develop and document detailed solution designs, imparting subject matter expertise throughout the lifecycle.
- Participate in complex applications and systems development and programming.
- Propose solution options and generate stakeholder support.
- Produce functional, technical, and user interface designs.
- Develop functional, technical, and user interface designs for an application and/or system based on business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance, and development standards requirements.
- Review technical deliverables for quality throughout the detailed design and development phase, identifying gaps or redesigning as needed.
- Define metrics and performance goals with technology partners and peers.
- Adhere to TD's technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity.
- Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting milestones and ensuring project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to corporate quality and security standards.
- Conduct code reviews for quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance.
- Support Operational Readiness Reviews and L3 production troubleshooting.
- Support knowledge management processes, ensuring knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked, and managed.
- Ensure designs leverage existing reusable components, trace back to business requirements, and that new modules are designed with reusability in mind.
- Identify and address issues affecting application integrity.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor team members on Software Development best practices and Agile practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of development and design experience (J2EE, Java 8).
- 10+ years of experience with frameworks like Spring, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Spring Security (OAuth, LDAP).
- 5+ years of experience with RESTful APIs.
- 5+ years of database knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with development tools and frameworks such as Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, and Nexus.
