The Cashier is responsible for cash transactions in food and beverage areas, performing all monetary transactions while adhering to department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. The role safeguards company assets, prepares necessary paperwork, and provides exceptional guest service with extensive menu knowledge, anticipating guest needs and processing payments. Key focus areas include consistency, quality, and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and participating openly.
  • Consistently provide excitement and deliver world-class service, living the company core values.
  • Safeguard company assets and adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and be held accountable for all funds entrusted to the employee on an assigned shift.
  • Create teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
  • Balance all money transactions and paperwork.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance, appearance guidelines, and confidentiality of guest information.
  • Be alert for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency, and/or vouchers.
  • Balance all funds under his/her responsibility and prepare reconciliation reports.
  • Operate the Point-Of-Sale System according to training.
  • Clean as you go and clean spills immediately.
  • Use chemicals as prescribed and responsibly.
  • Ensure all chemicals are in properly labeled containers.
  • Ensure the cash inventory is secured at all times.
  • Accept and confirm reservations.
  • Behave in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as a professional, courteous, and responsive manner, reflecting positively on the company and its core values.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Obtain required license(s).
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Maintain knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
  • Maintain knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing by any Team Member that they have knowledge of.
