About the Role
This role is linked to free training, upon completion of which you will be equipped to start your new role as a Senior SOC Analyst. You will support and lead the monitoring, detection, and initial response to cyber security threats within a 24x7 SOC environment, acting as a senior presence on shift.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and triage security alerts across client SIEMs, cloud environments, and EDR/XDR tools.
- Coordinate initial investigations, containment strategies, and major incident escalations.
- Act as a senior escalation point on shift, mentoring analysts, and ensuring seamless handovers and retrospectives.
- Analyze threat behaviors, refine response playbooks, and partner with detection engineering.
- Produce structured incident reports, deliver operational updates, and provide insights directly to clients.
Requirements
- Proven background in a 24x7 SOC operational environment (L2 / L3 level).
- Hands-on experience with major SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Splunk, or Elastic).
- Practical experience in alert validation, security event analysis, incident triage, and escalation workflows.
- Exposure to EDR/XDR platforms, network security technologies, and identity systems.
- Solid grasp of incident response workflows, threat detection methodologies, and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ability to clearly articulate security incidents, risks, and updates to both technical teams and client stakeholders.
- Experience or readiness to act as a shift lead, guiding analysts and driving playbook consistency.
