About the Role
We are looking for a Graduate Environmental Risk Assessor to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate environmental datasets, interpret site characterization data, perform statistical and spatial data analysis, and quantitative risk evaluation to support contaminated site decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices.
- Produce accurate reports by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
- Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications.
- Gather and summarize data for special reports.
- Collect straightforward samples and undertake testing as directed to support regulatory compliance.
- Support project management activities.
Requirements
- Master degree in related field of Science, e.g., Biology, Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field (Bachelor will be considered with work experience)
- Knowledge or experience in ecological or human health risk assessment, environmental fate and transport modeling, statistical data analysis and sampling design, emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS), natural resource damages assessment is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with spreadsheet and database software
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
- Willingness to travel throughout North America
