About the Role
Eataly’s cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses. This role prepares, packages, receives, and stocks product, while assisting guests with cheese selection and sharing product knowledge. The ideal candidate has a passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with guests.
Responsibilities
- Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
- Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
- Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
- Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
- Cleans work station thoroughly
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Basic knife skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register
